Joe Tropiano – Managing Director

Joe has been in the civil construction industry for over 30 years working primarily in brick and limestone walls and civil engineering fields.  Over this time Joe worked hard and along with his wife Anne set up Stonecivil becoming the market leader in mass limestone retaining walls.  Stonecivil have the unique capabilities of offering all aspects from Project Managers, Site Supervisors, WHSEQ officer and qualified Engineers to make sure your project get the support and commitment few can offer.  

Paul Draper – Civil Engineer/Estimator

Widely recognised within the industry as one of the “go to authorities” in his field, Paul has been an important part of the business for some 16 years. Heading the estimating department Paul has the ability to tender on mass limestone walls and piers, special stone feature cladding along with stone pitching, noise walls, concrete works, including concrete cantilever walls, earthworks and underground services. Paul’s fast and efficient turnaround of tenders allows our client the service and confidence they need to place their projects with us. Paul is also a member of the Engineers Institute of Australia as part of his professional qualifications.

Mark Lipari – Project Manager

After several years in an engineering consulting firm as a civil designer and draftsman, Mark joined Stonecivil in 2009 where he has developed his experience in all aspects of the business, including working within our sister company Delta Civil.  Mark has now moved back into Stonecivil in the role of Project Manager offering the high level of support and understanding expected from all our clients in today’s civil construction industry.  

William Martin – Project Manager

After leaving Europe and seeking a change from a background in finance and banking, William moved to Perth in 2011 where he worked in the civil construction industry.  After a short stint in the field, William was offered an administrative position within the limestone retaining wall industry and after realising his enthusiasm and capabilities was trained as a Project Manager.  William joined Stonecivil in 2018 and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the products and services we offer.

Jaye Bakker – Commercial Manager

Jaye started with Stonecivil in 2014. Jaye previously held roles within a global mining equipment rental businesses and a successful vehicle hire business in WA. This experience has helped enable Jaye to understand the needs of our business and identify and implement efficient business process improvements that strengthen Stonecivil in today’s market. As a CPA qualified Accountant Jaye’s fresh outlook within his current role has taken the business to new heights. Jaye reviews all commercial arrangements and business strategy as well as oversees the administration team ensuring all billing, invoicing and cost reporting is generated efficiently. His work behind the scenes allows the project management team to run the project efficiently and cost effectively for our clients.

Ivan Roberts – WHSEQ Manager

Ivan joined the group in 2014 to help develop and support the ever growing Workplace Health Safety and Environment needs within the business. Ivan possesses a wealth of industry experience and expertise in his field and his pragmatic approach to WHSEQ management has helped place Stonecivil among the best in the industry. Ivan is always striving for the continual improvement with the development of our business and our client’s needs, and is passionate about his work. Ivan has a long history and an excellent reputation within the civil construction industry that he has served for over 24 years.

Tony Giovenco – Workshop Manager

Tony joined Stonecivil in 2007 and manages a team of heavy duty diesel mechanics. The workshop services and repairs all of our plant and equipment ranging from small power tools to excavators and loaders, ensuring all are ready to go when projects need them, reducing down time and increasing efficiency for our clients. Tony directs the team of mechanics in what has become a busy and dynamic Workshop environment.

Mark Griffith – Purchasing and Logistics Manager

Mark joined Stonecivil in 2013 and is responsible for the procurement, coordination and delivery of materials to site as well as fleet movements around the business. Marks background in the UK was focused around planning and logistics with roles held in aviation cargo, heavy haulage and farming. Mark is a central touchpoint in the business and his “can do” attitude, lateral thinking and passion keep the wheels turning.
